Sofyan Amrabat continues to feature on Manchester United's website for the new season despite the fact that he ended his loan spell a few months ago and returned to Fiorentina.

A simple review of Manchester United's official website reveals a surprising fact. The Red Devils continue to list Sofyan Amrabat, a player who ended his loan spell and is expected to return to Fiorentina for the new campaign, among the players in the squad for the 2024-25 season.
This could be due to a failure to update the Red Devils' website, but the fact is that Amrabat even appears wearing the Old Trafford club's new jersey. The player's profile, which is still up to date, even highlights in the biography section how he was only going to be on loan for one season: "Sofyan Amrabat will be a Manchester United player for the 2023-24 season after joining the club on a season-long loan from Italian side Fiorentina".
The Moroccan defensive midfielder disappointed during the season, which is why this continuity in United's plans comes as a surprise, but he had an acceptable end to the campaign with the icing on the cake of the FA Cup final, in which he was at a high level against Manchester City.
Although Ten Hag was expecting other signings for the midfield, the fact is that this supposed continuity on the club's official channels could suggest that Amrabat has a chance of staying in England. For their part, Fiorentina still do not have a squad section on their official website for the 2024-25 season and the transfer website Transfermarkt does not give any information about the player's future.
