The Spanish national team went to the Las Rozas training complex in the morning. The 26 players named to play in the World Cup were very excited, especially the 20 who will be making their debut in this competition. They were warmly welcomed by coach Luis Enrique Martinez before the first of only two training sessions in Spain.
Several players were so happy, such as Nico Williams, Ansu Fati, Marco Asensio, Carlos Soler, Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres, Jose Gaya and Dani Carvajal, contrasted with the concentration of others, such as captain Sergio Busquets, Unai Simon, Gavi, Koke Resurreccion, Pedri and Marcos Llorente.
"I was very nervous, I couldn't sleep that night, but in the end I got the prize. My family was also nervous, but we're very happy," told Nico Williams on the moment of being called up to the squad.
"I was at the club just before training, with my father and my teammates," said Dani Olmo. "Very happy when I heard my name, it's an important opportunity. We are going for it. I'm very well, motivated, happy to be here and to contribute," he added.
