As reported on Thursday by ‘Iusport’, Pedro Rocha has officially informed the secretary general of the Spanish Football Federation and the TAD of his intention to appeal the Court's decision "in order to put its suspension on hold until the judge decides on the precautionary measure". This suspension would be automatic in the opinion of the defence of the head of the RFEF.
The Administrative Court of Sport (TAD) imposed the sanction of 2 years for the commission of a very serious offence according to the Law of Sport, for the dismissal of the general secretary Andreu Camps on 20th September 2023.
The TAD also sanctioned him with a total financial fine of 33,000 euros for two other very serious infringements (16,527.84 each): the termination of the contract with the GC Legal firm of Tomas Gonzalez Cueto, investigated as Rocha in the proceedings followed by the court of Majadahonda for alleged irregularities in relation to the contract of the Spanish Super Cup, and the appearance of the RFEF as a private prosecutor in the case.
Pedro Rocha, former president of the Extremadura Football Federation, was economic vice-president from 2020 until he temporarily replaced Luis Rubiales as president of the management committee in August 2023, when the latter was temporarily suspended by FIFA, following his behaviour in the final of the Women's World Cup and the non-consensual kiss to Jenni Hermoso, for which he will be tried, as well as for coercion of the latter.
