Frederico Varandas, president of Sporting CP, spoke in an interview with Portuguese television 'RTP3'. In this talk, the chief spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo and the possibility of him returning home.
"Since the beginning of the season, my coach has been slaughtered, I think at every press conference, and, in fact, it's those rumours that are created, because in fact, until now, there has never been nothing," he said.
Frederico admitted why they don't talk about it: "Out of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, out of respect for Manchester United who have a contract with the player and, above all, out of respect for the Portuguese national team, we don't intend to contribute to the noise. It is a matter that is finished.
First-team coach Amorim was somewhat more open about his return at a press conference: "I've been asked that question a thousand times. Ronaldo is a Manchester United player. Everyone at Sporting wants him.
