Tottenham crushed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in their final pre-season friendly. Four of those five goals were scored by Harry Kane, who is still keen to join Bayern Munich.
After the match, Ange Postecoglou spoke about the rumours that the striker will be playing in the Bundesliga next season. He hinted that he did not like the German team's attitude on the matter.
"I wouldn't talk about players who have contracts with other clubs, but I'm not Bayern. They can do what they want," he declared.
Despite all the speculation about Kane's departure, the manager is clear: he is 100% focused on the team: "I had no doubt that I was going to field him. And I didn't need him to tell me. You've seen that he's involved in what we're doing and we'll continue to do so, unless something changes.
Postecoglou praised Kane's level after his four goals and, in a way, encouraged him to keep going: "He's a world-class player and the style of the team will help him. The deadline for all this to be over is the end of the market," he said.
