Arsenal sealed the win against Southampton on Saturday to go one point behind Liverpool, who sit at the top of the English flight. A stellar perfomance from Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners the three points, as they struggled to get shots on target despite a dominant display at the Emirates.

It was complete dominance from the Gunners from the first minute. Arteta's men controlled the game with confidence, but lacked the finishing touch as they ended the first half with only one shot on target from 14 attempts in total. Their lack of composure in front of goal proved costly as the Saints took a shocking lead at the 55' with Cameron Archer, who was served by Mateus Fernandes after he won the ball back from Raheem Sterling. Arsenal were quick to react, however, scoring with Kai Havertz just three minutes later. Super-sub Martinelli doubled the lead just ten minutes later, but Southampton were close to equalising as they were denied by the woodwork twice. Superstar Bukayo Saka took it upon him to kill the Saints' hopes as he scored the third at the 88'.
