Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny gave an interview to 'Foot Truck' in which he spoke about his future with Poland. "I will leave the Polish national team after the European Championship, should I stay and play some Nations League games? I think it's better to leave. The task of preparing the new generation is for others".
"Nobody is trying to convince me to change this decision and my family knows what our plans are, I think they know that this is the natural order of things. There is no point in starting this new cycle if I am not going to finish it," he argued about his future retirement from Poland.
Elsewhere, he referred to his disappearance from the penalty shoot-out against Wales just before it started: "Where was I? Official or unofficial version? I went to analyse the penalties in peace. And that means with a cigarette."
Finally, he had some nice words for his club teammate Kenan Yildiz. "I bet with someone that he will be nominated for the Ballon d'Or in five years. I have played with many players, but I have never seen so much talent. I'm confident of winning this bet," he said of the Turkish striker, who is causing a sensation in Italy.
