Frenchman Aurelien Tchouameni, who was a last-minute absentee for the match against UD Las Palmas (4-1), trained alone at Valdebebas on Monday and is a doubt ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League clash with Salzburg next Wednesday.
The midfielder is struggling with discomfort in his left leg and, according to EFE sources at the club, although it is not ruled out that he will take part in the last training session before the Champions League, this will depend on his progress over the next few hours.
He is a doubt for a match in which Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed the absence of Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao, both with knee injuries; Eduardo Camavinga, with a femoral biceps injury in his left leg; and Lucas Vazquez, due to yellow cards.
The Italian is without any first-team right-backs for Salzburg, with only two centre-backs - Antonio Rüdiger and Raúl Asencio, who is a reserve team player - as David Alaba has yet to make a competitive appearance and there is doubt as to whether Tchouaméni, who can play in that position, will make it to the game.
However, the good news for Ancelotti is that the victory over UD Las Palmas, which put Real Madrid top of La Liga, did not leave any more absentees and the first-choice players were able to do recovery work to get fit for the Champions League.
The rest of the available players carried out a session that began with activation and strength exercises in the gym before completing the work with exercises with the ball on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva Real Madrid.
