Frenchman Aurelien Tchouameni, who played at centre-back against Manchester City, will miss the return leg on Wednesday 17th after picking up his third yellow card of the season in the Champions League for a foul in the second minute.
The Frenchman was one of four cautioned Real Madrid players, in addition to Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, and he was soon shown the first card of the game. None of the aforementioned three were cautioned.
A yellow card for a foul on Jack Grealish down low, which, as well as resulting in Bernardo Silva's 0-1 scoreline, leaves Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti in trouble ahead of the return leg.
The Italian opted for Tchoaumeni in the centre of defence instead of a standard centre-back like Nacho Fernandez, an option that will no longer be available in Manchester for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
