Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has said that Barcelona captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen is "slightly worse" than Wojciech Szczesny, who is set to replace the German keeper at La Liga.
Speaking to 'Goal Poland', the former European champion with Liverpool described the former Juventus keeper as "a completely different goalkeeper" to Ter Stegen and stressed that Barcelona play "a slightly different system", with a lot of short play from the goalkeeper in the penalty area.
Szczesny announced his retirement from football after playing for Poland at the European Championships in Germany, but could reverse his decision in the face of reported interest from Barcelona.
He has a 15-year professional football career to his credit, having played mainly for Arsenal, where he made his debut under Arsene Wenger, Roma, where he spent two years on loan from the London club, and Juventus, where he has spent the last seven seasons.
