“That's football; there's no need to cry, let's raise our heads”

Atletico Madrid defender Reinildo Mandava considered on Wednesday, after the 4-0 defeat against Benfica in the Champions League, that “it was not a good day”, but there is “no time to cry”, so he urged to “raise our heads and keep working” for the next matches.
“Nothing went well. The passes, we lost balls.... That's life. It was a bad day for us. There's nothing to cry about, we have to raise our heads and keep working. We are always working to improve and to win, but there are days when this can happen. We wanted to do things and nothing came out,” he said in the mixed zone.
“There are days when things don't go well. We have many matches and there are days when there will be matches like this”, insisted Reinildo, who acknowledged that the Champions League is a competition that "demands a lot and you have to win the matches".
The Atletico Madrid defender regretted that the red and white team did not do well despite the fact that, from his point of view, they tried. “That's football, as in life. There are days when things don't go well no matter how much you want to put your heart into it,” he said.
