"The effort of the other day has taken its toll"
Atletico Madrid captain Koke Resurreccion made a fleeting appearance before the 'DAZN' microphones after losing to Barcelona on matchday 29 of La Liga. The midfielder attributed some of the disappointment to the physical display in the Champions League tie against Inter Milan and stressed that the aim is to be among the top four in the standings.

Atletico Madrid captain Koke Resurreccion lamented the "tough defeat" against Barcelona (0-3) on Sunday, saying that the match was "very even" until the first goal from the 'Cules' and remarked on the "very clear objective" of being among the top four in the standings, in which they are now in fifth place.
"It was a very even match, especially at the beginning, until they scored the goal and, above all, the second goal. A tough defeat," he told DAZN after the match.
"It's true that, away from home, we're struggling, but at home, we're a pretty strong team. We've shown that all season long. The effort the other day has taken its toll on us a little bit, especially from the second half onwards," he added.
Atletico are outside the top four, in fifth place. "We have a very clear objective, which is to be among the top four, and now we are not there. We have to realise the situation we are in, that we want to play in the Champions League next season," he said.
