The transfer market and Premier League teams’ money
It is important to establish regulation in certain economic and sponsorship aspects when it comes to ensuring the revenue and economic health of a competition. And the Premier League is well aware of this, a competition that, in terms of regulation, for example, of TV rights revenue per club, has one of the best monetary distributions per team.

A regulation that now also reaches the field of bookmakers and online gaming sponsors such as Online Roulette Casino in the UK, in order to legalise this type of economic activity in a healthy way. The Premier League has reached agreements where, despite not having promotions in the main symbols of the competition (billboards, kits...) they have managed to get closer to a regulation of gambling in the United Kingdom.
Little by little, betting sites are evolving to become more accessible to the world of football and thus also to be able to make greater monetary returns to the teams, which are facing, starting in July, face one of the busiest transfer markets: the transfer market of summer 2023. Here, we take a look at the teams with the Premier League's biggest spending power and how this transfer window is shaping up for them.
On one hand we find the club with the biggest economic power of the competition, having won the title three times consecutively, Manchester City. The team has also been reinforced by winning the Champions League and could make some multi-million dollar purchases in this window.
It looks like the most likely signings for this team during this period will be Gvardiol (RB
Leipzig), Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund), Kimmich (Bayern Munich) and Declan Rice (West Ham). On the other hand, the most likely departures from the club look to be Joao Cancelo (Bayern Munich), Gündogan (Barcelona) and Julian Alvarez (Bayern Munich), although other moves are yet to be confirmed.
As for the team who looked about to take home the Premier League title, Arsenal, they now have the opportunity to have themselves a good transfer window, as their players have increased in value, and they can invest more.
Possible signings for the club could be Moises Caicedo (Brighton), Kai Havertz (Chelsea), Samu Chukwueze (Villarreal) and Tielemans (Leicester City) among others. Regarding exits, it looks like Xhaka (Bayer Leverkusen), Jorginho (Lazio) and Thomas Partey (Inter Milan) will leave.
Ten Hag’s side also need a series of reinforcements after returning once again to the Champions League, and finding themselves with a team that doesn’t quite meet the standards of the competition. On the one hand, the team could boost themselves with Pickford (Everton), Dumfries (Inter Milan), Mason Mount (Chelsea) and Rasmus Hojlund (Atalanta).
On the other hand, Maguire and Sancho (Tottenham), Scott McTominay (Newcastle United) or Anthony Martial are players that could leave the club at the start of July or end of August, but we’ll have to see what happens in the coming months.
As for the transfer window that Jurgen Klopp’s team hope to have, it looks like the side will reinforce themselves with good players like Mac Allister, formerly of Brighton and world champion with Argentina, who is now turning heads in the Premier League and has signed for the Reds for 40 million. It also looks like other names like Kessie (Barcelona), Pavard (Bayern
Munich) and Micky Van de Ven (Wolfsburg) might be joining the club.
Of Liverpool’s departures, we see the names of Arthur Melo, who could end up with Emery’s Aston Villa; Roberto Firmino, who confirmed it was his last season and would look for a new chapter with either Inter, Juventus or Milan; and Robertson, the captain, who looks likely to make a move to Spanish football.
