Pep Guardiola is one of the best-known managers in the world of football and Manchester City enjoys it. However, the Spaniard is not extravagant and he was keen to prove it in an interview with Sky Sports ahead of this weekend's Premier League second leg.
"No, I don't have WhatsApp. I don't like emails, I don't like Whatsapp, all that kind of stuff... so I just have a phone. No tiktoks, no Twitter, no Instagram, zero. My phone and messages, that's it. I don't want to be bothered," he said.
The coach from Santpedor also revealed his habits when analysing his opponents: "When I was younger, I was much more lazy. Now I'm more lazy. I'm good enough to watch a video and know what my opponent wants to do. It's enough for me to show a video to my players so that they understand what I want them to do."
"Once I have thought about the line-up, I just sleep like a baby. There are times when I know the line-up two days before the game and others when I decide on the day itself, even an hour before," added the Manchester City boss.
"If I face a new opponent in the Champions League, for example, I watch a lot more videos than if, for example, I face Arsenal, because I've known Arteta for 4-5 years, or with Liverpool, with Jürgen, I need to watch less. It's different now."
