"There were more players of colour like Vinicius and they had no problems"
A few days ahead of Vinicius' visit to Mestalla, the president of the 'che' supporters' group has given his version of events of what happened last season. He expects the atmosphere to be tense and does not approve of the Brazilian's attitude.

Vinicius will return to Mestalla nine months after the matchday 35 of last season, when he was sent off. A match that left numerous controversies, declarations and extra-sporting conflicts after the Brazilian complained of racist shouts. The Valencianista fans are looking forward to their reunion with the Real Madrid player a season later. The president of the 'Agrupacion de Peñas del Valencia' has given his version of events on 'Cadena Ser'.
Fede Sagreras wanted to start by making something clear: "Both the 'Peñas' and the fans are against racism, but I think it will be a tense atmosphere. Madrid's visit to Valencia has always been accompanied by moments of tension. If we come on top of what happened in May... yes, I think Vinicius is quite a conflictive person.
Finally there will be no Netflix camera recording directly into the stands for Madrid's visit to the Mestalla after Valencia declined the option. "He is a great player and he should dedicate himself to playing football and not be the number one protagonist of the match. Let him do it with his goals. There were many other players of colour and with no other there was no problem. The atmosphere will be tense, but not aggressive," added Sagreras.
Segreras gave his version of what happened last May: "He came out as a victim, but the victims were the other 45,000 fans inside. When there is a red card for something insignificant, they shout 'fool'. Here I think it all got a bit out of hand and we were branded racist from Brazil.
A few days before the match, 'Superdeporte' published a front page with a chant allegedly spread by the Mestalla cheering section: "There was a player, a famous Real Madrid player. All he did was cry and lie. He cried here, he cried there. He always made fun of the people and the rival. He came to Valencia and that was the end of the story. The problem is that he is stupid and never went for his colour".
