"This Copa America will be much more difficult than the last ones"

Argentina will be in charge of opening the Copa America 2024. They will do so on Thursday against Canada in what is expected to be one of the big games of this first phase.
Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes said that this Copa America "will be much more difficult than the last ones" because of the difficulty of defending a title.
"We don't feel pressure, we feel it's a nice challenge. We know how difficult it is to defend the title. It will be much more difficult than the last Copa America," the Roma midfielder told a press conference, saying that the main thing is to maintain "the mentality of wanting to continue to achieve important things".
Paredes, who will start against Canada, said that for him it is important after having started in the starting eleven in the last two Copa Americas. "I feel very good physically and football-wise. I'm coming off the back of a very complete year," he added.
