"This is the disaster that Boehly has created"

Gary Neville warned that Todd Boehly is the one to blame for Chelsea's current shambles. The ex-player said to 'Sky Sports' that this season's "disaster" is due to the owner.

Gary Neville went for it when it came to criticising Todd Boehly. Chelsea's season in the Premier League is a long way off where they'd like to be, with 39 points in 33 games, 24 points off the Champions League spots.
The ex-Valencia boss therefore went in for the North American owner when speaking for 'Sky Sports': "Chelsea had a successful way of managing the club. This is now what Boehly has created. He made this disaster. Like playing Football Manager, it's been terrible".
Gary Neville said that Chelsea, before Todd Boehly, were a successful side in Europe: "You're the owner, you're not a player or the manager. You don't have Premier League experience, stay where you are and let people who have had success in the past 10 years manage the club".
The ex-Manchester United player said a Mauricio Pochettino arrival would be a good one: "He'll help to challenge the top three, he'll mould them into a decent side. When you start to sack gardeners, physiotherapists, sports scientists, directors and managers... you're shoving everyone under the bus saying 'It's their fault, not mine".
Faced with the situation, Todd Boehly is still saying that Chelsea is "a long-term project". However, the Stamford Bridge side won't be in European competitions next season, which will be a big blow for the London side.
