Kieran Tierney's future is uncertain. The Scottish defender did not play a prominent role last season as Mikel Arteta decided to rely on Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu to play in his position.
As a result, the 26-year-old is expected to be sold in this summer transfer window after being targeted by several clubs such as Newcastle and his boyhood club Celtic.
The left-back gave an interview to 'The Athletic' to discuss his future. Tierney said he is "happy" despite knowing his destination could change next campaign.
"It's not really up to me [my future]. I'm happy, I'm working hard every day and getting minutes. I'm just trying to do as well as I can. You can't play every single game, every single season, every single year. I don't expect that and I still made a lot of appearances last year, he said.
"I think everyone in there would agree with that, that I never give less than that whether I'm playing or not. In the games I did play I tried to do my best for the team. I came off the bench a lot last season, whether that was to see games out or help get a goal."
Tierney played 26 competitive matches last season in an Arsenal shirt, scoring one goal and assisting once. He also picked up two yellow cards.
