Liverpool claimed an important victory over Manchester City and made a statement in the Premier League title race, extending an 11-point lead over second-placed Arsenal.
The Dominik Szoboszlai - Mohamed Salah team-up was key to sinking the Sky Blues at Anfield, as both the Hungarian midfielder and the Egyptian winger swapped roles to assist each other and score the winning goals.
After the match, the fans at Anfield began chanting “We're going to win the league, we're going to win the league. And now you're going to believe us and now you're going to believe us, but the former Leipzig player said he was “so tired” after the final whistle that he did not hear them.
"I didn't hear it, I was so tired. We have to keep going and Newcastle is going to be a tough game and then 11 more games to go. It never ends so we have to keep calm and keep going and at the end hopefully, we will get there," he said.
