Stephen Carr, a former Tottenham player, analysed how he sees his former team at the start of the 2024-25 season. He believes Ange Postecoglou's side still need to "find their balance" and not make so many mistakes in defence: "They're shooting themselves in the foot a little bit".

Former player Stephen Carr dropped a couple of words of advice to Ange Postecoglou ahead of their game against the Gunners next matchday. "I think he will adapt. He will have learned from playing against Arsenal last year," he told “The Sun”.
"It's a good time to play them. Declan Rice is suspended and he's crucial in midfield. I don't think Odegaard will make it. That's two big losses for Mikel Arteta's side," he added.
He believes Tottenham need to "find a balance". "Ange is an experienced coach, I don't think he just leads with enthusiasm, we attack and that's it. I don't think that's ever the game plan, but they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot a bit..." he expressed.
In the three games so far in the Premier League, Spurs have won one game, drawn one and lost one. They have scored six goals and conceded just three. We'll have to see if Postecoglou takes note of Carr's warnings.
