The 20-year-old Argentinian starlet Alejo Veliz could be one of the reinforcements for Sevilla FC in the winter transfer window. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur have given the go-ahead for him to join the Andalusian club on loan.
The Italian journalist claims that there are still some details to be finalised before the deal can be made official, it is Sevilla who must make a move now. What is clear is that the deal would in no case include an option to buy.
Sevilla would thus reinforce their forward line, as it is possible that they will lose Rafa Mir at the last minute, and the services provided by Mariano are far from satisfactory. The Argentine would be joined by Isaac Romero, the club's academy player, who has been their best asset up front, and the return of Youssef En-Nesyri from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The deal, in principle, would benefit both parties, as Veliz has hardly any playing time in London despite Harry Kane's departure to Bayern. He needs to play if he is to have any chance of going to next summer's Copa America.
