Bayern Munich have done it again. With Julian Nagelsmann, they already saved a good part of his contract when he committed himself to Germany. And now, with Thomas Tuchel, they will not have to pay him five million euros of the 10 million euros he was owed when he took over with England in January 2025.

Bayern Munich will save five million euros on the contract still to be paid to coach Thomas Tuchel, who has become the new England coach.
According to German media reports, the German coach, who had one year left on his contract when he left the Bavarian club for 10 million euros, will only receive half of that amount, as he will take over the reins of the Three Lions in January 2025.
Such a formula had already been used by Bayern when they sacked Tuchel's predecessor, Julian Nagelsmann, who had to forgo a large part of his remaining contract at the Bavarian club to take over the German job.
In the case of the current Germany coach, he had more than three years left at Bayern when he was sacked, which was a much larger sum of money than Thomas Tuchel will no longer be paid.
