Arne Slot's Liverpool are going all out next season. The Reds are back in the Champions League and will attempt to lift the 2024/25 Premier League trophy with a new leader.
The Dutch manager has the great challenge of living up to the board's and the fans' expectations after taking over from German manager Jurgen Klopp, who was much loved and appreciated by the Merseyside team.
That is why the Reds are giving everything in pre-season to start their campaign in the best possible way. They are not afraid of anything and will even dare to play two games on the same day.
Liverpool will host seven-time Europa League champions Sevilla and La Liga club Las Palmas - both teams play in the Spanish top flight at Anfield on Friday. The first match against the Andalusian side will kick off at 13.30 CEST.
But the game against Las Palmas will take place a few hours later to give the players some rest although the same starting eleven is not expected to play in both games.
Liverpool and Sevilla go into this friendly on the same pre-season run - three wins and one defeat - although the Spanish club have played more games than the English side in pre-season.
Liverpool starting XI: Alisson (GK); Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Salah, Jota and Diaz.
Sevilla starting XI: Nyland (GK); Pedrosa, Martinez, Nianzou, Benavides; Saul, Agoume, Collado; Idumbo, Iheanacho and Suso.
