Real Madrid return to action this Friday in Valladolid, and they will do so with their favourite attacking duo. Benzema and Vinicius will play together again after many weeks apart.

Real Madrid's best attacking duo is none other than Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. up front. It is the one that has given them the most joy in recent years, and on Friday they will surely have a pleasant reencounter.
The duo have not played together since 19th October, when Ancelotti's side beat Elche 3-0 in La Liga. Since then, injuries to the Frenchman and the World Cup have kept them apart.
In fact, without that link-up in the starting eleven, Real Madrid saw their performance drop. They lost in the Champions League against RB Leipzig and in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano (both 3-2), and drew at the Santiago Bernabeu against Girona (1-1).
It is true, however, that this season the Frenchman's partnership with the Brazilian was not bearing fruit as much as last season, mainly because of Benzema's underperformance. But Madrid were on a virtually perfect run.
Benzema and Vinicius want to return to La Liga with strength and impact to close out a near-perfect 2022 for Real Madrid. The third player up front could be Rodrygo, although Asensio and Hazard are also available.
A nice challenge, also to forget the World Cup, which has been terrible for both of them. The Frenchman has had his differences with Deschamps and has not played, while Vinicius surprisingly lost in the quarter-finals to Modric's Croatia.
The three points on Friday at the Jose Zorrilla are also very important to put pressure on Barcelona. Real Madrid, if they win, will go top of La Liga, pending what the 'Cules' do in the derby against Espanyol on Saturday.
