Udinese have left Chile's Alexis Sanchez out of their Serie A squad after he picked up an injury to his left calf on 21 August.
Sanchez, who joined the Udinese club in the summer from Inter at zero cost, has yet to make his debut in the second phase of his career in Friuli.
The calf injury, of which there was no information on the extent or recovery time, prevented him from playing minutes in these first three matchdays in which his team has been co-leader with two wins and a draw.
The club's decision is not final, as the 25-man squad can be changed to include him, but it suggests that the Chilean's injury is more serious than expected.
The Chilean, whose last official game was in the national team jersey, in the Copa America against Canada, could be out for another month and, according to local media, the club aims to have him back after the October international break.
