According to ‘Mirror’ and ‘Sport Bild’, the Bavarian team has been refused the use of this kit because of the poor contrast offered by its black numbers. They will be forced to wear the black or beige uniform that they have been wearing in the continental tournament up to this point if they do not alter the kit. They will also be unable to wear it for the rest of the competition.

Bayern Munich will visit Celtic on Wednesday in a tie that seems to be very much in Kompany's side's favour. The Bavarian side have a far superior squad to the Scottish team and have the advantage of playing the second leg at home, which gives them confidence in their qualification for the last 16.
It has recently emerged that the German side will have to continue to wear their second or third kit in the Champions League, as UEFA has banned their red uniform. This was revealed by ‘Mirror’ and ‘Sport Bild’, which pointed to the lack of contrast between the black numbers and the red of the shirt as the main reason.
So, if Bayern do not modify the shirt to comply with the regulations, they will have to continue to wear the black or beige kit for both home and away matches. Until now, Vincent Kompany's side have been wearing the latter in the top club competition, something that has served Adidas well in terms of marketing.
Although Celtic's green and white kit does not share colours and shades with Bayern Munich's first shirt, the Bavarians will not be able to wear their red kit at Celtic Park on Wednesday or in the second leg at the Allianz Arena.
Until a few years ago, the Champions League had its own numbers that were separate from those of the clubs, and this would have made it easier to adapt Bayern's jersey for the 2024-25 season. However, this regulation was changed some time ago, which led to some controversy between the clubs and the European body because of the difficulty for fans to see the match numbers.
