West Ham are not a glass-breaking hammer, but they have been smashed to pieces so far in 2024. Since they stormed Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on 28th December, everything has gone against them.
Since then, David Moyes' side have played 8 games in the new calendar year. Not only have they suffered three consecutive defeats in domestic competition. The Hammers conceded 11 goals in that streak... without finding the back of the net.
That situation has placed them in 9th place in the Premier League with 36 points, 11 points off 5th place. Should they beat Brentford on Monday (21:00) in the 26th round of fixtures, they will join Brighton & Hove Albion in 7th place on 39 points.
It looks like the London Stadium will be the place where David Moyes will be judged. Without losing sight of the Europa League, where they will face Freiburg in the last 16. The first leg will be in Germany and the second one in London.
