In Union Berlin's trip to Stuttgart on matchday 13 of the Bundesliga, Svensson's men will aim to put an end to their six-game winless streak. After claiming victory over Holstein Keil on October 20, Union have drawn two - against Frankfurt and Freiburg - and lost four - against Arminia Bielefeld, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen - of their last six matches in all competitions, putting them in 11th place in the current standings.
On the other hand, their upcoming hosts, Stuttgart, find themselves in 9th position at the moment after winning four, drawing five and losing three of their 12 league matches. Although the two teams are relatively close in the table, 'Die Schwaben' have proven tough to beat in their recent league outings, having lost just one of their last five fixtures.
That said, Stuttgart's injury list looks concerning as Hoeness confirmed Jeremy Leweling's absence from Friday's clash - he might be able to return to training next week. Zagadou, Nartey, Raimund, Al Dakhil, Undav and Toure are the other injuries for the head coach, while 'Die Eisernen' are without Stein, Ilic, Ogbemudia and Volland for their away trip to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Stuttgart possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Nubel (GK); Stergiou, Rouault, Chabot, Mittelstadt; Karazor, Stiller; Vagnoman, Millot, Fuhrich; Demirovic.
Union Berlin possible starting lineup (3-4-3): Ronnow (GK); Doekhi, Vogt, Querfeld; Trimmel, Kemlein, Khedira, Rothe; Jeong, Hollerbach, Vertessen.
