Uruguay's latest squad list with Luis Suarez

With Luis Suarez's farewell confirmed after the clash against Paraguay, the Uruguayan national team announced the list of called-up players in which the historic Charrua striker appears for the last time. Marcelo Bielsa has also called up a number of new faces in view of the absences due to injury and suspension following the fight with Colombian fans at the Copa America.

The Uruguay national team announced on Tuesday the list of 25 players called up for the matches against Paraguay and Venezuela. The latter will count with the presence of the historic striker Luis Suarez. The 37-year-old striker is part of a list marked by absences and new faces.
Suspended for the fight with Colombia fans in the last Copa America are Darwin Nunez, Ronald Araujo, Rodrigo Bentancur, Jose Maria Gimenez and Mathias Olivera are some of those who do not appear. Nor are the injured Matias Vina, Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Federico Vinas and Nicolas de la Cruz.
Meanwhile, Boca Juniors striker Miguel Angel Merentiel was called up for the first time, as was River Plate full-back Agustin Sant'Anna and Estudiantes player Tiago Palacios.
Wolves centre-back Santiago Bueno, Boca full-back Marcelo Saracchi and Vasco da Gama full-back Jose Luis Rodriguez also appear in the squad after several games out.
The main news came in the last hours after a press conference in which Suarez announced that the match against Paraguay will be the last one he will play with the ‘Celeste’ side.
