Valencia CF have joined the emergency aid operation set up by the Valencia Food Bank and have turned the Mestalla stadium into a collection point for food and basic necessities.
From this Wednesday at 17:00 CET, volunteers from the Valencia Food Bank will be collecting contributions from the public to help all those affected by the DANA storm that has hit the province of Valencia since Tuesday.
The Valencia and the Valencia Food Bank will collaborate at the accesses to the Mestalla stadium, located on Avenida de Aragon. Football loses all importance when it comes to circumstances such as this.
The authorities have already confirmed at least 70 dead and dozens of people missing in the worst cold spell of the century in the capital of the Turia. Valencia joins the humanitarian aid with the 3 days of mourning.
