Tottenham managed to knock Manchester City out of the Carabao Cup after claiming a hard-fought victory at home to the Sky Blues. The home side were without Son and Odobert through injury against Pep Guardiola's side and it looks like another player will join Spurs' injury list.
Just 14 minutes after kick-off, Micky Van de Ven had to be forced off the pitch and Destiny Udogie replaced Postecoglou's defender. After the match, the Greek coach confirmed at a press conference that the Dutch defender felt something in his hamstring and that they do not yet know the extent of the injury.
"Yes, he felt something in his hamstring. It's still early to predict how long he will be out but he definitely felt something and we'll see how he is," he told reporters.
Van de Ven was already sidelined for two months at a similar stage of the season last term with a hamstring injury so Spurs fans are keeping their fingers crossed that this time the extent of the injury is less severe.
