William Saliba has been on fire at Arsenal since returning from his loan spell at Olympique Marseille. The Gunners landed the French centre-back from Saint-Etienne in 2020 and after going out on loan twice in Ligue 1 the centre-back took on an important role in Arteta's squad last season.
The Les Bleus international was key to Mikel Arteta's side's Premier League title bid, so much so that during his injury-enforced absence in the second half of the season they dropped important points that cost them the title.
The 22-year-old centre-back has started this season as important for the Gunners as last, making 17 official appearances, all of them starts. Although the Frenchman's standout role is in defence, he also scores goals, such as the one that gave the Gunners the lead against Burnley and prompted Arsenal fans to chant for the defender.
