Manchester City swept to the top of the Premier League as Josko Gvardiol's double inspired a vital 4-0 victory against Fulham on Saturday. Pep Guardiola's side are two wins away from lifting an unprecedented fourth successive English title after a commanding display at Craven Cottage.
"A great game for the team. It was really difficult because today was so hot and the pitch after 25, 30 minutes is so dry," City goalkeeper Ederson said. "I think the confidence and the mentality [helped us] win the game, congratulations to everyone for scoring four goals and for the clean sheet.
"It’s so important to defend good because some teams try to counter attack, but the team played good and keep the ball, take good touches, good finishes and a good result for today," he continued.
"It [the title race] is in our hands. We have two games left and we go away again in the next game. The team is so confident, focused and has the mentality to go again."
