Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given an update on the fitness of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku, in which he says it is uncertain whether the trio will be available for the next Premier League game against Newcastle on 13 January.
“They are ready, the last two or three training sessions with us. Jeremy feels really good, Kevin as well. Kevin was a long time (out) so we have to think about his condition. We have to be patient and exactly give him the right minutes,” Guardiola told ahead of their FA Cup third-round tie with Huddersfield Town.
“Erling is a little better, his bone so we need to be careful. (he’s had) two or three sessions and feels good. Hopefully (they will be able to play soon but), I don’t know for Sunday or for Newcastle, but for the rest they will be ready,” he added.
