Argentina took on Panama in their recent international friendly after being recently crowned world cup champions in Qatar in December. Captain Lionel Messi was on the score-sheet for the 800th time in his career after curling an outrageous free-kick into the top corner.

It was the return we had all been waiting for. After blowing the world away in Qatar last December, Lionel Messi's 'Albiceleste' made their first appearance with their third star proudly hund above their badge. This time, it was in a friendly against fellow Latin-Americans, Panama.
After Almada opened the scoring late on, PSG star Messi couldn't help but join in the festivities in the 89th minute. His chance presented itself in the form of a free-kick just outside the box.
The man from Rosario took his time before blowing away the visiting keeper, placing it right in the top-right corner, postage-stamp stuff from the Argentine. It was certainly a strike even the game's best like James Ward-Prowse would have been proud of.
This takes him onto 800 career goals in total, with him showing no sign of stopping soon. He is still some way behind rival Cristiano Ronaldo, however, who arrived at the 800 figure a good while ago.
