Harry Kane scored two goals in the final ten minutes to send Bayern Munich past Galatasaray 2-1 on Wednesday, booking the home side a spot in the Champions League knockouts.
Six-time winners Bayern have now gone 38 games unbeaten in the group stages, another Champions League record.
"I congratulated the team after we saw how the game in Copenhagen ended. I'm very proud of their performance and how they did it. Especially in this group stage, especially today. I'm very satisfied," Tuchel told reporters.
"Twelve points is absolutely not a matter of course and is, of course amazing. We'll remain hungry but we are group winners and today we deserved another home win with an intense game. That is why we are very satisfied and a big compliment to the team," he added.
