Former Burnley manager and Manchester City player Vincent Kompany has been chosen by Bayern Munich to take the reins at the German club for the next three seasons, the club announced on social media in an official statement.
The Belgian, who rose to coaching fame after leading Burnley back to the English top flight following an incredible campaign with the Clarets last season, was unable to prevent his side from relegation from the Premier League this season and will now try his luck in Germany in a more ambitious role.
The new coach of the Allianz Arena outfit gave his first words as Bayern Munich coach in which he said he feels it is a privilege and an honour to be given the challenge and that he wants the team to be aggressive and brave, just as he was as a player. Take a look at his words.
