Real Madrid's Vinicius said on Wednesday that he hopes to win his first title with the Brazilian national team at the Copa America in the United States.
"I still don't have a title with the national team, I hope it will be now," he told the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) media after joining the 'Selecao's training camp in Orlando.
This will be Vinicius' third tournament with the Brazilian national team, after the 2019 Copa America and the 2022 World Cup, and for the first time he arrives with the main star of the five-time World Cup champions.
The striker assured that the ‘Selecao’ has a generation of players "that is coming on very strong" and said that now it is up to them to make a good preparation for the tournament.
Vinicius arrived at the training camp on Wednesday alongside Real Madrid team-mates Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao, after winning the European Champions League last weekend.
The three players were the last to join the 'Selecao', who have been preparing for friendlies against Mexico and the United States since Thursday last week, ahead of their debut in the continental tournament.
The entire national team will travel to Texas on Thursday to play the first test against 'El Tri' on Saturday. Four days later they will face the host team, the United States, in Orlando, in the last test before the start of the Copa America.
The ‘Selecao’ will kick off the run to their 10th continental title on 24th June against Costa Rica at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, before facing Paraguay and Colombia in the group stage.
