"Vinicius? If he gets kicked, he can take it"
Former Spain coach Javier Clemente did not mince his words when talking about Vinicius. The Basque coach highlighted the Brazilian's great qualities, but lashed out at his behaviour on the pitch.

Vinicius is a player who generates a lot of opinions. Everything the Brazilian does or doesn't do has a great impact. In this sense, his behaviour on the pitch is usually one of the main points of friction between his defenders and his detractors.
Javier Clemente spoke about this aspect on the programme ‘Buenas Noches y Buenos Goles’ on ‘Radio Marca’. The former national coach, after attending the AFE gala, did not bite his tongue when it came to criticising the Brazilian's reactions.
"I wish he wasn't so angry on the pitch. If he gets kicked, he should just take it and stick with it. In football there are bad tackles or wrong refereeing decisions, but if you don't put up with that, you don't like it," Clemente said.
"He's a great player, but he argues with the opposition, he argues with the crowd, he argues with the referee, he could argue even with my sister...", said the Barakaldo native, highlighting the footballing qualities of Real Madrid's No 7.
Finally, Clemente also spoke about the episodes of racism that the Brazilian player has suffered, pointing out that we should not generalise. "If the lad were to reflect, he would be a person loved by everyone. It's not a problem of colour. We are not a racist country and that is very clear. What has happened is that he has approached it that way because it has interested him and I don't think it's good for him", he said.
