Jude Bellingham's signing has been announced for days, but only by Borussia Dortmund's website. Now, Real Madrid have confirmed his arrival for the next six seasons and announced that his presentation will take place on Thursday 15th June at 12.00 noon at Ciudad Real Madrid.
The reactions on social networks were not long in coming. One example was Vinicius, who publicly took the lead in welcoming the new signing: "Welcome to the best club in the world".
The Brazilian international posted the message on his personal Twitter profile, quoting a Real Madrid tweet about Bellingham in the white jersey in the form of creativity. There is a lot of expectation surrounding the 5th most expensive signing in La Liga history.
The former Borussia Dortmund player is the second highest transfer in the history of the 'Merengues', who broke their record several summers ago after paying 115 million for an Eden Hazard who has spent more time on the bench than on the Santiago Bernabeu pitch. A signing without results. The Spanish side are much more optimistic with the experienced Briton, who has plenty of room for improvement.
What remains to be seen is his number, as there was talk of the '7', but it will be Vinicius who will wear it from next season. The '22' that he wore in Germany and with England is his favourite, but it is currently worn by Rudiger.
