Despite being a tough fixture, Real Madrid have one trick up their sleeves that can help them and his name is Vinicius Junior.
In a week where his future - signing a contract extension or accepting a lucrative offer from Saudi - at the Spanish capital has been a big topic of discussion, the Brazilian superstar will want to silence everyone against his favourite opponent, the team against whom he has scored the most goals.
The 24-year-old forward has had 11 encounters with Osasuna, with the first being in the 2019/20 campaign when Real Madrid beat them 2-0. Vinicius broke the deadlock in that match and since then, he has not stopped netting against 'Los Rojillos'. He has now racked up a total of 8 goals and 4 assists against them - the most he has ever scored against a single team with the 'Blancos' outfit.
Vinicius has been contributing more and more to Real Madrid's goals. He found the target in that first match against Osasuna but could not repeat himself until the sixth encounter in the 2021/22 season. His goal tally could've been higher as he had two goals disallowed in February of the same campaign.
The 2024 Ballon d'Or runner-up scored in his last three meetings with Osasuna. One goal in the first half of the 2023/24 season, a brace in the return leg in the second half of the term and a hat trick, his fourth as a Real Madrid player, in the 4-0 win earlier this term.
