Real Madrid held their second and final training session on Monday ahead of Tuesday's game against Real Sociedad (22:00 CEST) with Austrian David Alaba back from injury and Brazilian Eder Militao and Uruguayan Federico Valverde absent.
Alaba trained with the group for the first time since he suffered a small tear in the tripceps suralis muscle in his right leg on 18th April against Chelsea, a muscle formed by the junction of the calf and soleus, an area which the defender injured on 9th January and which caused him to be out for 25 days, missing seven games.
On this occasion, his recovery has been sooner than expected and he could have playing time against Real Sociedad in order to get into rhythm for the Copa del Rey final on Saturday 6th May against Osasuna and for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Manchester City, for which Militao will be suspended.
The Brazilian Vinicius Junior, who will serve his yellow card suspension on Tuesday, did not take part in the session, nor did Croatian Luka Modric and Frenchman Ferland Mendy. The former is recovering from a hamstring injury in his left leg and the latter from a soleus injury in his left leg.
Faced with these absences, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti was able to count on four players from RM Castilla, Madrid's first reserve team: Peter Federico, Noel, Javi Villar and Nico Paz.
