Vinicius named Real Madrid player of the season

Vinicius Jr has surpassed his statistics from last year after a season of superb performances. The Brazilian has won the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey titles this season.
The 22-year-old has been named as the best player in Ancelotti's squad for the 2022-23 campaign. He received the 'Mahou Five Star Player' award on Wednesday.
The Brazil international surpassed Karim Benzema with 23 goals and 16 assists in 55 competitive matches this term.
"I'm very happy with the support of the fans. I want to keep improving to give my best version. Hopefully next season I can continue like this to help the team," he said.
