Vinicius to testify on Thursday over racist insults at Mestalla

Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Vinicius will testify next Thursday, 5th October, by videoconference from a court in Madrid, as a victim, for the racist insults he received at the Valencian stadium of Mestalla on 21st May.
This testimony has been postponed up to 2 times, as it was initially set for 28th September and then, due to the footballer being on holiday abroad on that first date, to 5th October.
The reason for this postponement is solely due to organisational reasons of the courts and has not been requested either by the player or by any of the parties, sources in the case have explained to 'EFE'.
The footballer is scheduled to be connected by videoconference from a court in Madrid to answer the questions posed by the head of the Court of Instruction number 10 of Valencia, which is investigating this case, as well as those of the other parties involved, including La Liga, the RFEF and Real Madrid, as prosecutors, and those of the defences of the 3 accused youngsters.
During the La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid at Mestalla on 21st May, Vinicius reported having suffered racist insults from fans behind the goal, which led to the match being stopped for several minutes.
The facts were denounced by La Liga, as it had already done on other occasions in similar situations experienced by Vinicius and other players.
In addition to the supporter pointed out by the Brazilian footballer, the police identified two others through CCTV footage made available to them by Valencia CF, who announced that they will ban these three supporters from Mestalla for life.
These 3 fans - aged between 18 and 23 - have already testified before the judge and are being investigated in a case opened for an alleged hate crime.
