Midfielder Vitinha and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reacted to the French side's Champions League semi-final defeat to Borussia Dortmund. The president was satisfied with the development of his project, which he boasted is the youngest in Europe, and highlighted the six occasions on which Luis Enrique's side have hit the woodwork. The player simply said that giving "everything" has not been "enough".

PSG midfielder Vitinha showed his utter disappointment at PSG's elimination from the Champions League semi-finals and avoided commenting on it. "It's not easy to talk now, we came away with the feeling that we gave everything. We appreciate the support of the fans, they were incredible the whole game," said the Portuguese player.
"We gave everything, but it wasn't enough. The disappointment is very big, I don't know what to say," he added. Their president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, said he was "disappointed" by the elimination, which he attributed to bad luck.
"We are very disappointed with the result, we are sad, I think we deserved more. We hit the post four times; last week we hit the post twice: the ball didn't want to go in. The players and the coach gave everything," commented the PSG chief, who congratulated the Germans.
"It's hard to accept, we thought we could go to the final, we are disappointed for us and for the fans," he said. "I am proud of my team, the youngest in Europe. We have reached the semi-finals three times in five years. But it's not our goal: it's to reach the final. But football is like that, you have to accept it and sometimes it's not fair," he said.
