Nottingham Forest's 4-game unbeated run in the Premier League suffered a blow against Newcastle before the international break as the hosts lost 1-3. "The damage we have to assess now," said Forest boss Nuno Espirto Santo on whether the defeat would "damage" his side's momentum.
"After the international break, it's always a question mark for the all the teams, so we'll see what the response in the game will be," he added as Forest prepare to take on Arsenal in the first Premier League match after the break.
The Tricky Trees will travel to the Emirates on Saturday, with whom they are level on points - 19 each. "Hopefully we are gonna prepare well and also perfome well. Against Newcastle the result was not the best in terms of performance. We have to admit that they played very well, we didn't do the things that we wanted to do," the head coach said as he reflected back to his latest defeat.
Nevertheless, the Portuguese sees the recent loss as a "another chance to improve and get better". Speaking on his side's chances to upset the Gunners, Espirito Santo said: "We always believe that we can compete, that's our approach. We'll try to avoid letting Arsenal do the things they want to do".
A win against Arsenal is well in the cards for Nottingham Forest. The east-midlands club are currently unbeated away from home, meanwhile Arsenal are in the midst of a gloomy period as they have not been able to taste victory in the Premier League in over a month - since October 19th.
