Barcelona midfielder Pedri said on Wednesday, after beating PSG at the Parc des Princes (2-3) in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, that the Catalan side "are one of the best teams in the world".
"It's been a long time since we've played in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and we've done it face to face. We are one of the best teams in the world and we always have to go out like that, to devour our opponents," he said in statements to the Catalan club's media.
Pedri praised the performance of striker Raphinha, scorer of two goals, of whom he said that he is "a guy who never stops getting out of the way". "I passed it to him and he finished it off like the angels," he said in reference to the action of the second 'culé' goal.
Finally, the Tenerife midfielder highlighted the difficulty of the competition: "The Champions League is complicated, it forces you to go out like that. They put you in behind, you have to know how to suffer and score on the chances you get".
"It's PSG and it's a Champions League quarter-final. They're not going to give us anything. There are 90 minutes left and we'll have to come out just as intense as we did in Paris," he added.
