Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Rodrygo Goes said they played a "perfect game" in the 5-1 thrashing of Valencia, in which they got back on the scoresheet in La Liga, a competition in which they had not scored since the first matchday, thanks to "being calm" in their finishing.
"We played another perfect game, we relaxed a bit at the end and conceded a goal, but it was a very good game. On a personal level, I'm very happy with two goals and two assists," he said.
Two braces from Vinicius and Rodrygo propelled Real Madrid to their biggest win of the season. "Now we are in our best moment (of the season)," Rodrygo told 'Real Madrid TV'. "We are back to being the Rodry and Vini that the fans want to see... if they are happy then I am happy too."
The Brazilian striker admitted that he was lacking calm due to his poor run of form, which he ended in the Champions League by scoring in both games against Sporting Braga and again against Valencia.
"My game was perfect, I'm very happy. It's always good to score, I did it in the Champions League and to do it again is very good. I always want to contribute with goals and assists. I did it and I'm very happy," he admitted.
"You always have to be calm and I was lacking a bit of confidence before finishing. I was calm, with a good mentality and that's why things worked out well for me. We are very happy, we needed a game like this with lots of goals. It was a perfect day and we hope to continue like this in the next games," he said.
