Brahim Diaz, scorer of one of Real Madrid's goals in the 'Merengues' comeback at Manchester City, told 'CBS Sports' as key that they took “good advantage” of the “mistakes” in defence of the English team to take the victory. “We took advantage of their mistakes, we created many chances through them. The work was very good and we competed very well. This is Real Madrid, the best club in history,” he said on Movistar+.
The player reminded that “it's not over yet”, as there is still the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, on February 19th, which, he asserted, “will be even better”.
“I don't like to talk about justice or injustice. You can play very well and lose or the opposite. We played a great game. Here, it's not easy. We have prepared superbly and the work is not finished yet,” he added in his analysis of the match.
Brahim, who played for Manchester City, explained why he did not celebrate in the first moments after scoring his goal. “I'm at the best club in the world, very happy to be here, where I've always dreamed of being. Then I celebrated because of where I am, but obviously I've been here for quite a few years and I'm very grateful to Manchester City,” he said.
