Barcelona and Espanyol close this special 2022 with a derby full of controversy, with the presence of Robert Lewandowski after the precautionary ruling of the ordinary courts.
Sergio Alegre, speaking on 'Movistar' before the game, reviewed the clash against the 'Pericos' and admitted that during the week they didn't expect to count on the Polish striker.
" At first, the intention was not to count on him, but we consider that he has to be in the starting line-up", said the assistant coach of the Catalan giants about the big controversy of the derby.
Alegre expects "a very even match". "Espanyol have competed in every game. It's going to be a really difficult game," added Xavi Hernandez's assistant.
"It's a different context. It's a special game, even more so after these almost two months of break in which we've barely been able to work. We're capable of winning the game," said Alegre.
